The oldest of four children, Christian was raised in his hometown of Middletown New Jersey. His father came to the United States at the age of twenty-three from Germany, where he had worked in the culinary arts profession. This led to the ownership of Fromagerie; a landmark restaurant in Rumson, New Jersey, run by the family for thirty-five years.
Christian observed that through hard work and dedication success can be achieved, even from the most humble of beginnings. During Christian’s childhood he was taught the value of hard work and integrity, which showed throughout his athletic career, even from it’s earliest of years. Christian attended Middletown South High School, where he got his start playing football. It wasn’t long before he was awarded a full athletic scholarship to the University of Nebraska.
While pursuing his dream and goal of being a professional athlete, Christian studied Human Development at the University of Nebraska. During the time Christian played for his college team, they won two out of three National Championships (1994 & 1995). The University of Nebraska’s 1995 Football team was ranked the “Best College Team of All Time”, in which Christian Peter participated as team Captain!
In 1996, all of Christian’s hard work and dedication paid off. He was signed to the New York Giants, where he began a long career in the NFL. He went on to play with the Indianapolis Colts, followed by the Chicago Bears, where he retired in 2004. While playing football, he learned about teamwork, commitment and what it means to be a successful leader.
When Christian retired from the NFL, he went on to pursue a career in the insurance industry at the recommendation of close friends. He received his broker’s license a year later.
The attention to detail and dedication to service he acquired in both football and the restaurant business, attributed to his success in the Insurance Industries.
Today, Christian finds gratification in helping clients navigate through the confusing world of insurance – Employee Benefits, Life & Annuities and Property & Casualty. Christian now operates The Competitive Advantage Companies LLC, as President, in Red Bank New Jersey. He resides with his beautiful wife and three precious children in his home state of New Jersey.
